Biography

Where was he? There was no light in the depths of the forest, save the dimmest glow of the moon, and he shuffled forward without purpose. He didn't remember why he was here, or where here even was, and he felt no difference between staying and moving. For days, he travelled the forest, stopping only to sleep or to eat when his legs started to fail, or his stomach ached with emptiness. Then, he laid in the forest for large stretches of hours, contemplating and finding no answers, and unable to ask many questions. He knew nothing but to wander. What questions were there to ask? He arose, and walked again. |
He didn't keep track of the time he travelled. With nothing to compare, he didn't know if it was moments or millennia, and what either would truly mean. He was the first dragon he had come across within memory, and instinctual need drove him forward. The Pearlcatcher was small, as far as he could understand. Smaller, at least, than himself. Even so, he didn't seem startled when approached, and instead climbed a tree to reach eye level. "Are you lost?" He opened his mouth, but couldn't find words to speak. Could he speak? Instead, he tilted his head and looked uncertainly around them. Lost. Could he be lost without something to find? Then he looked back to the dragon. Even in the darkness, he could see his bright scales, refracting the dim fungi's glow like a halo around his body. His belly looked dark and splashed as he moved, and smelled strongly of the animals he had hunted before. When they cried out as he grabbed them. When he had been gored by the deer. He smelled like pain. But... He wanted to protect him. For the first time, he had a need, something beyond food and sleep. He needed to help him. Protect him. He shook his head. He wasn't lost. If anything, he might have been found. |

wip because i bought this kid on impulse because their seller's lore? top notch. also i dont write Ever.
Moonflower is his charge and he just realized that. Probably also loves him. Its alright. Speaking's kinda weird for him since he... doesn't really remember speaking or what to say. He communicates primarily non-verbally.
He's actually a decently smart dragon! But he has no knowledge of himself. Or the world. Before meeting Moonflower, everything is a blur, but finding his charge gave him some stability. Now that he has something that personal, he can start to find himself again, or maybe more rebuild.
dammit i love him
