Lee met Dubs in another world where they became friends gaming over the internet. She found it funny that he had an 'ironic' user name that concerned her career, and he found her weird mix of plain talking and sudden vagueries intriguing. Over time they got to know each other and became good friends, and Lee learned that the vagueness Dubs sometimes talked with was due to her not knowing as much as others expect her to know- she had no home, and didn't know where she was from at all.

Years later, when Lee was gaming one night with the lights off, a robber broke in to rob the place. Not expecting a person to be awake in the house, the robber panicked and shot him. Dubs, who was gaming with him over the internet at the time, panicked and pulled his soul through their connection. She was able to store his soul in her computer for a time while her mother helped her create a new body for him back in Sornieth. Being in a computer for a time scrambled his memory, so he sometimes has trouble remembering the difference between video games and real memories.
