She woke up, only a hatchling, in the middle of the jungle. The clan had made sure to get her as far away from them as possible, even going so far as to enter a zone that did not belong to the mighty Stormcatcher. Instead, they had dumped her off somewhere in the domain of the Gladekeeper. Fangmist had found herself completely lost within the Shrieking Wilds. Crying out, both from fear and in a sort of last effort to reach out to her clan, her young mind had to come to the frightening realization that she was, in fact, all on her own.

Luckily for her, a male Bogsneak had just been wandering around these very trees, in search of some delightful mushrooms, he could gather for dinner. He heard the Coatl's cries and was heartbroken to find only a young hatchling abandoned, all on her own. What made him confused, however, was the fact that the young one's eyes were not in the graceful colors of the Gladekeeper, no, they were more.. electric. Not to mention she had way too many of them.

H
e had never seen a dragon with multi-gaze before. He took a moment to consider why this dragon had been left here in the first place. Perhaps it could be the eyes. No matter what the reason was, he was not going to leave her there to die. Carefully, he approached, making sure not to scare the young one away. Fangmist watched, in shock, as the bigger dragon got closer to her. She cried, silently, too paralyzed by fear to run away. She thought this was going to be her end. Which made the surprise of being gently lifted and placed in a wooden basket all that more relieving to her. ''Shh.. little one. I'm not here to hurt you.'' The bigger one spoke, assuring her that she was not in any danger. She almost squealed, so happy to not be doomed to a life of loneliness right from the start.

Fangmist grew up, with her ''father'', Ryelis the Bogsneak. Though she had been hatched in the grip of the Stormcatcher, she could not confidently call the lightning flight her home. Nature was where she belonged. At least here, she had not been thrown away, rather, she had been embraced, and loved. The small cottage she had been brought to on that day, in the same wooden basket that now stands on a shelf, a pretty green bow wrapped around it, was her true home. She had never gotten the chance to interact with her parents. But, Ryelis was her father now, and she loved him more than anything.

T
hough she calls nature her home, for the time being, she can't help but feel the urge to return to the lightning flight, every so often. Ryelis has nothing against this, of course, and they frequently visit the outer parts of the Carrion Canyon. She also sometimes feels a strong urge to go flying towards the territories of the fire region, but she's been told that is normal for the Coatl species.
