LANCELOT SILVERLILY
Zombie Knight |
Lancelot is an armorsmith and knight, like her wife Galehaut. She is much friendlier than her lover, and is responsible for working with customers on planning their commissions while Gale works on the armor itself. Lancelot had died before on one of their expeditions together, but her wife brought her back after an arcane ritual. She came back the same personality-wise, but her scleras and wings were altered dramatically because of the change.

Chapter 1.5: Summoning

Starting Chapter 1.5. Wait, what? How did you even- never mind.
Death
It’s pure white. You float within this vast nothing, your senses overwhelmed with both everything and nothing at once. So this is what death was, you thought, I float here forever. This is what the end felt like. It was... peaceful.
>Wait
Well, that’s what you were doing anyways. But yes, you wait for a long while. Minutes, hours, days pass by. At least to you they do, anyways.
>Sleep
Finally, your thoughts wander to sleep when the time is appropriate. You feel your eyes slip closed and you dream of nothingness.
Laputa
You awaken in the middle of a summoning circle. Your bones ache with a mixture of disuse and the side effects of dark magic, but otherwise, you feel alright. In front of you is a light green tundra, who you recognize instantly. Your beloved.
>Examine self
You’ve changed. Your bones have begun to show through your skin in an alluring and alarming pattern, while your wings have become speckled and marked by arcane magic. Your long mane has been cut short and your armor is new and freshly polished.
>Talk to tundra
The tundra- Galehaut. Her name is Galehaut. She is almost in tears. She takes a small vial out of her pouch and offers it to you. Drink, she says. It will make the aching go away.
>Drink vial
You feel your body stabilize, and your bones return to normal. At least, as normal as they can be when you’re a zombie.
>Thank tundra
She says that there was no trouble, her eyes misty. She then asks you a few questions.
Do you remember your name?
>Yes. Lancelot.
She begins to cry in earnest before asking the next question.
Do you know where you are?
>No
She says you are on Laputa, and that there was nothing to fear.
Are you willing to be my knight?
>Always.
The two of you embrace, united once again. Though the place may be new, nothing, even death, could not part you and your lover.
