______ Rail and Crane are two dragon's who spirits are connected, one is never without the other. Forever they travel in loneliness as two broken hearts who are destined to remain in the world of mortals in shadow, to teach those to accept death, something they never did.

______ Two friends they were, and two friends they are. Crane and Rail renamed themselves to fit each other. They're always watching, always following. The voices in heads, the ghosts that one sees. This is who they are and who they'll always be. They know your name..

They know everyone's name.

______ Rail and Crane were normal Spiral's, they became best friends and lived a lovely life. Peace embraced their clan and they did everything together.

______ When their leader died a new one rose, he was cruel and purged the weak. Fun was futile in his eyes, love was a weakness, kindness was a waste of time. The two spirals plotted together and fled swiftly from what would be their demise.

"Do you think they will pursue us?"
"We are grown dragons, they have no right."
"But if they do then we are surely dead."
"We shall live a long time, death will not know us for centuries."
"You think so?"
"I know so."

______ They traveled for days without a taste of food or water, they started to see things which were not there. Hear things that were for naught, they
were slowly being driven mad. Weakness took them over and death came closer.

"No! I will not go out like this!"

Illusions clouded her eyes and she saw her friend as prey, with open maw she lunged out and with sharp claws she slashed. Her poor friend fought back but was weaker, until breath left her she fought and clawed, refusing to accept that they would not make it out of this alive.

When her friend's spirit departed she fought to return to her body, struggling and so the cursed took hold and now her friend was a broken, lonely spirit.

When done with the carnage she realized what had happened. But weakness took over and she too fell to the ground. Blood upon the shadowed ground glowed, her eyes wild but pale. Her teeth drenched in red. She struggled to get up countless times and fell down, until darkness ended it.

But her spirit refused to accept as well, and so the two friends spirits were connected, destined to wander, never knowing true peace. Never to experience rest.
