Sway came to the clan as an adult. She and her friend Sedition had escaped a hurricane that devastated her former home. She had loved him since they were children. They bonded young, and lived from cave to cave until they found a wildclaw fleeing into the night like the entire beastclan council was after her, carrying nothing but a hatchling wildclaw. Her name was Youngblood, and once she calmed down enough to speak, Sway realized she was a kindred spirit, fleeing after a pack of mirrors slaughtered most of her family.
The four friends lived on the edge of the sunbeam ruins for a few months, until the hatchling wildclaw took it into their mind to explore the tangled wood, and vanished. The horrified adults chased after them, and found the baby snuggled into Plunder, Burst and Pyre's section of the lair in the heart of the tangled wood, next to Gallow. Starlight was none too pleased to find strangers in the same room as the sleeping hatchlings, but Sedition was able to deescalate to situation. Glad to have a family again, it wasn't long until Sway and Sedition decided to join the clan to raise their children.

Sway will not be talked down to. She demands to be treated with respect, and hates sass. This has led to some conflicts from all corners. Pyre has a general disdain for what she considers the haughty imperial, and Volatile enjoys angering her. However, her mature demeanor has earned her a close friendship with Roots.
