━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
About The current Knight Commander of the King's army. He spent his entire youth in the military working his way up the ranks until he became the sergeant of his own company. During the Qedonian War that saw the destruction of much of the country and the fall of the previous King, Khaoni was one of several hero's to come forth and lead the remainder of their forces to victory. Since then he has sworn loyalty to the new King and aided in the rebuilding of Q'edan. These day's he mostly remains in Raa Shak, keeping to the command headquarters where he now tends to the more business side of things, only occasionally making his way to the barracks to participate in physical trainings with his army. Should war arise once more, however, there is no question in anyone's mind who will be at the front of the lines.

Despite the growing unrest among the camp however, none were more frustrated than the Colonel. Day after day he busied himself with counting the diminishing supplies and shouting at soldiers who stumbled when they sparred. At night he found sleep difficult to come by, his mind kept awake by all the possibilities of what was happening back home. None of the last five messages he'd sent to the capital had received replies and it was wearing on him that no reply may ever come.
Not knowing what was going on had gotten to him more than he cared to admit. His body itched for action, while his heart begged him to move his battalion out towards the front line, or capital- it didn't matter, anything was better than this. But his mind, and years of being told to follow orders, made him stand his ground in this hellhole, waiting on the day when the trees surrounding them set aflame.
So when his daily routine was abruptly interrupted one misty morning by a small, unidentified cavalry unit marching straight into his camp, he found himself feeling more alive than he had in months. Initially he had expected a fight from the riders, and apparently so had everyone else, as every soldier was on their toes with swords at the ready.
As the thundering of hooves on dirt grew louder, Khaoni shoved his way passed startled privates, his hand on the hilt of his sword as he made his way to the front of the camp. His eyes narrowed against the sun, looking carefully at the riders before he gave any signals to attack. Slowly his sword was pulled from its sheath, the men beside him inching forward but not daring to charge without command. Then he saw it.
The green and yellow fabric was subtle, flying not in the air but on the back of one of the horses. It was there though, and that's all that mattered- the insignia of Rhokein, his home. Khaoni's hand shot up in the air, his 'hault' loud and clear to even the farthest troops.
He wasn't sure what he expected when the riders came to stand in front of the camp, but a young woman dressed in men's armour wasn't it. She sat tall and proud atop her horse, with a commanding, steely look on her face. A face, he noted, that was beautiful to look at, even with the mud and dirt that covered it.
From atop her horse she looked across the entire camp, locking eyes with every man she could, and she shouted with an unwavering voice, "The front lines have been lost, but the war has not."
