Okay so. I scattered him. I like his colors a lot better, thankfully, but that does mean I need to basically rework his entire lore bc he gives off a completely different vibe now. Sooo just ignore the rest of his bio for now.

Ok I did it! 50kt breedchange, 350g for a second scatter scroll, another 350g since I scattered him a few years ago too, and 1200g for Jester. And 55kt for capsule. Cinder 170kt. And I’m pretty sure all of his previous genes were free ones, idk how much the apparel cost. But wow look at me finishing a project within two days instead of a year.

Whirl is a light flight mirror, born to a clan not far from the border of the Tangled Woods. One day, when he was still a hatchling, Whirl’s curiosity got the better of him. He ventured into the Tangled woods, following the allure of the flickering blue lights that danced beyond the trees, and disappeared for years. His home clan assumed him to be dead. They mourned him and eventually moved on with their lives.

Whirl emerged from the Shadowbinder's domain, years later, a changed dragon. He no longer looked like his old self. His vibrant blue coloring had turned gray and dark, and for this he was shunned from his clan. Glowing blue mushrooms emerged from his back and sharp thorns wrapped around his limbs. It was as if the domain of shadows was trying to reclaim him.

Whirl, however, had seen the horrors that hid in the darkness. He was fearful of the idea of returning to the Tangled Woods. His home clan had turned him away, so he sought aid from neighboring clans, but they all looked at him like he was a beast or the carrier of some infectious disease.

He felt utterly hopeless. He was seen as a monster to any sane dragon. Day by day, the thorny vines continued to grow and hindered his mobility. He felt pain in every step as the thorns dug into his skin. Without a pack to hunt with Whirl grew hungry and weak. As he trekked across the Sunbeam Ruins, he wondered if this was the end for him.

Whirl eventually collapsed there on the ground, too weak to move. Defeated, he gathered whatever remaining strength he had to look upon the sun and curse his diety for doing nothing to help him.

That was when something blotted out the sun. “Just my luck…” Whirl thought to himself, believing to be witnessing the end of the world. He heard the flapping of wings and realized that it was merely a Fae Dragon descending from above, only appearing to be blotting out the sun.

“You look like you’re in pain.”

“Gee, what gave it away?” He muttered through gritted teeth.

The fae’s head frills fluttered in what almost looked like amusement, but he couldn’t be too sure in his semi-lucid state. “Let me help you.” She said, landing beside him to examine the thorns.

And so, the Fae Dragon—Weave, he would learn—tended to his wounds and cut away the vines. They kept growing back, but she stayed by Whirl’s side.

This part can be kept.

Eventually, a frightened Imperial, not much older than a hatchling, stumbled across their lair. He was running from something too, Weave could tell. Just like Whirl, just like herself. She gave the Imperial some food, who stayed to help out in return. They offered shelter to a young light Wildclaw who was seeking somewhere away from the confines of traditions.

Whirl and Weave slowly gathered a small group of dragons nearby them. They helped each other, and other travelers joined too. What was once their personal lair was growing into the beginnings of a clan.
