Biography

Tragedy makes dragons stronger. It also makes dragons richer. That's what Xam learned from a young age. Xam grew up as an orphan in the Southern Icefields, but she never let anything drag her down. Despite being penniless and living on the street, she kept her head held high. Because of her attitude towards life, she was mistaken for the child of a noble. Xam knew better than to correct such a fortunate mistake, so she allowed herself to be taken to the manor of a noble. The aforementioned noble was an older dragon. He was nearly blind and extraordinarily rich. Xam saw this as her opportunity to make it big in life.
The noble knew that he had no daughter, but he took Xam in anyway and called her his own. Xam flourished with riches. She enjoyed studying in the vast library and training with the manor guards. Xam grew into her own and became just as wise and strong as she was beautiful. She adorned herself with rich clothing and glittering gems. Xam had never felt better. She had even began to love the old noble. He became like a father to her and she enjoyed spending time with him and sharing what she learned in the library.
Misfortune befell Xam. The old noble died. Xam was distraught. Her first friend, her father, and her mentor was gone. He left everything to her, the manor, the money, the treasury, everything. But Xam couldn't handle it. Being in the manor without him felt empty. She gathered up all the money, sold the manor, and fled the Southern Icefields. She didn't know exactly where she was going; she just knew she had to leave.
Eventually, Xam found herself in the Shifting Expanse. The hot, humid, electric air was the opposite of the weather she was used to. It was exactly the kind of change she needed. Xam wandered around for a while, fighting off scavengers, and looking for a home. Then, she found a place. It seemed like the perfect place. It was full of dragons like her; dragons with no family and no real parents. Xam settled in and finally felt truly and wholly at home.
