One of the legion of seeds scattered to the winds by the pirate Marvellion of Neremin. As part of his mother Flashfire's deal with her temporary mate, she took Marvandy back to her clan while his sister stayed with their sire, though she eventually moved on to the Lightweaver's service. Also as agreed, Marvandy bears a Mar- name that marks him as one of Marvellion's lineage.
