TRAVELING DRAGON, DO NOT EXALT!!
If you receive this dragon, message Kismet (10947) to let them know where he is. If do not want him in your lair, send him back to Kismet. He is old and impossible to replace, so please don't exalt him!
Please refrain from dropping him into the Auction House, or general exchange threads... he may end up exalted! Consider dropping him off on the Dragons Off To See The World thread, or the Traveler's Hub if you don't want to exchange him.
Also, please don't keep him. I understand he's a handsome old stag but his father really wants him to come home.

Miramar is trying to find his way home to his birthclan. He was born in the Shifting Expanse, but was sent to an allied clan in the Starfall Isles, where he has spent most of his life. Awakened from a strange slumber, he finds himself alone... with no where else to turn, he's decided to make the trek across Sornieth to try and find his original home, a place he remembers as "The Deepden Citadel."

Miramar is being sent on a journey across Sornieth, for lore purposes. I would like him to visit each Flight at least once! I do want him back!

???, Starwood Strand - Departed: 03-03-16
I woke up... alone. I wasn't alone when I fell asleep, I'm sure of it. Then again... I can't remember when I fell asleep to begin with. I was covered in leaves and dirt, like I'd been laying here in the forest for months.
I can't find any trace of the dragons I've spent most of my life with. It's possible that they've left me behind. The lair is abandoned and filled with dust and cobwebs-- but no signs of life. Not even local fauna has tried to reclaim it. Remembering the tales of Emperors and other horrors, I scavenged what little I could; an old, empty book and a dusty quill. Very little of this clan's food was suitable for long storage, but I did manage to find some old dried out fish.
I feel... very lonely. Here in this silent forest. The only dragons I've known for the majority of my life have vanished... My only lead is to return to the Shifting Expanse. Hopefully I can find my parents, in a city carved deep into the rock in the Carrion Canyon. The... something Citadel.
... Deepden. The Deepden Citadel.

Prescott, Forum of the Obscured Crescent - Arrived: 09-27-16 - Departed: 09-28-16
I managed to stumble into the Shadowbinder's domain. In my journey the Shifting Expanse, I wound up crossing the deepest part of this benighted place. A tiny fae who later identified herself as Rosewood took pity on me as I scoured the area hopelessly for some food.
After being guided through what I personally perceived to be a rather complex maze, I settled into the Forgotten Lair for a while. I am grateful that they were able to provide me with food for the short duration of my stay, and, noise aside, it was very pleasant. But I must leave now, to continue my quest. Although I must say that I am intrigued at how fast a wildclaw worked on altering the maze now that I knew the path in...

Aeneryss, The Fortress of Ends - Arrived 09-29-16 - Departed 11-16-16
Icewarden's domain is not a good place for a wanderer. I almost starved to death. Too cold for insects and plants. Water is frozen so no seafood either. And meat... everything you want to eat wants to eat you too. I was susprised, when I've met dragons living here. They told me, that to gather food you need to fight. Kurai offered me a little help. I didn't refuse. I need to survive to find my way home.

Inferni Spiritus Arrived 11-16 Departed 11-19
Large would be an understatement for this clan. Mass amounts of Wildclaws live here along with some strange species I had never seen before. Other breeds of dragons live here as well and it seems that each breed has a different purpose. Clearly the wildcaws protected and hunted for the clan, and were the highest ranked. No one complained about what job they were assigned to do. For a few days I stayed here and studied the members of the clan, learning everything that I could about them. I was given as much food as I required as it never seemed to be in short supply. It was a nice rest, but if I am to continue on I had to leave the comforts of this place and be on my way.

Erisna, the Shrieking Wilds; Arrived 11-19, departed 11-22
I really must learn to navigate better. I thought that I was headed in the direction of the Shifting Expanse after leaving Light's territory and was very, very confused when I began to see trees. I went in the exact opposite direction and ended up in the Viridian Labyrinth. I felt like such a fool! To my surprise I ended up in another clan's territory, which I only realized when a Mirror and her three children surrounded me. They turned out to be the clan's border guards, and they took their duties very seriously. Luckily, they were very calm while I explained the situation, and seemed more than a little amused by my predicament. They very kindly look me back to their clan; a well fortified place, but it seems like there were once many more dragons and all the members are strangely subdued. The Matriarch seems weary but offered me shelter, and the little Fae who I assume is her mate followed me around everywhere. He seemed a bit simple-minded, but he was amusing all the same. I believe I'll stay here a few more days, and maybe see if the librarian will give me a map to help me on my way.

EDIT: The librarian just about bit my nose off when I asked for a map. I'm leaving with only a compass to guide me, but they were nice enough to point me in the right direction.

Axqu, The Lightning Farm; Arrived 11-22, departed 12-31

Day 1 The Clan with Dark Roots actually pointed me in the direction of an allied lair in Lightning territory. It was the same one, in fact, that the border guard came from. I was warned that they were incredibly paranoid, but didn't know just how much until I came face to face with a thick steel blast door. I put my papers through the slot and they let me in, and oh dear gods... I knew Lightning clans were technologically advanced, but this was some next-level tech. Everything seemed to be automated. I was taken to the clan medic for my first checkup, and couldn't help but notice that there was a faint whispering all throughout the lair. I grew uneasy, and asked the medic about it, whereupon she promptly escorted me to see a little rainbow fae. He introduced himself as Spencer. I have no idea what kind of ritual he performed over my head, but the mad whispering stopped. He said it was a 'common precaution for Imperials,' whatever that means. I have a bad feeling about this place, but if anyone would know about a great city carved into the rock, it would be a well-connected, well-informed Lightning clan.

Day 2 I found myself in the library, poring over Clan AXQU's extensive archives. The archivist was immeasurably helpful; he asked for an account of my experiences, then directed me exactly where I needed to go. I found out that my old clan-- my family-- was destroyed by an attack of... something unspeakable. I also found out that the survivors fled. Fled North. There are rumors about Earth territory... should I go there, or keep looking?

Day 3 Back to the archives, and I fear something terrible has happened. I stumbled upon a secret passage quite by accident, and when I walked into it, the door closed and locked behind me. It is very dark and humid here, and there is a small army of Coppercoil Creepers shuffling above my head. I can only assume I have stumbled into a maintenance tunnel. Nobody answers me when I call for help. Oh well; surely there has to be another exit somewhere.

Day 5? 6? I've found no exit. It is cold, and damp, and my joints hurt from sleeping on the cold stone floor. There are fewer creepers now; they flee into tiny holes in the walls at my approach. I have tried to follow them back to the main lair, but they seem to disorient me further. The whispering is back, just at the very edges of my hearing. It seems the protection from the little fae is wearing off.

Day ??? There is no sun here in this, the tomb of the world. The whispers grow louder, and they speak-- they speak of past lives, and the future, and of the grunting of beastclans and the screams of the lost and the broken. There is wisdom and madness in the whispers, very like the whispering of the gods. They speak of my father. What would a voice know of my father?

D͈͍̘̥̦̕ą̘̤̟̟y̞̖͖ ̖͓͇̯͢1̙̦͖̕4̪̘̤̳̤̰ He tells me that He has spoken to me for a fortnight. He speaks to all who will listen; the little fae makes us deaf to Him. Why do they deafen themselves to Him? Why do they resist? I will go to Him, and He will speak to me of all He knows, in His seven voices. He is so lonely. He will show me where to go.

D͎̫̰̻̞͚͒̄͗͛̒a̤ͣ̍̇ͪͮ͘ẏ̫̰̼͓ͮ͛ͥ͑ͣ̋ ̱̭̲̙ͥ͋̈́̇̂ḑ͉̗̼̦̲ǎ̷̳̰ͯ̑̇ͣͩy̜̏͐͊ͬͅ ̧̟̟ͮ̑͛ͣ͂ͯͪd̘̏ͦͤa͙͖̫͙̞͖͋̉͊̒ͦ̚y͍ͨ́ ̜̜ͩͦ̏d̶ͤ̚a̢̺̞͖̬̹ͯ͛̆̐̈ͅy̛̹̪͕ͤ́̄ͦ̚ ̨͙̰͖̗̦ͩ͒̉d͇ͣ͊a̖͚̠̩͚y̵͓͈̳̝̺ͥ́ ̌ͬ̓̊d̖̣̝͍͎̾ͪ͑ͪ͛a̝͚ͨ͘y̺̹̩̙͉͉͊ͥͧ̊̓̎̿͞ I have found Him I have found Him and He speaks to me from His seven Mouths. He speaks and His great center head commands me, His center head shows me the way and He commands with a shout-- He commands me to Go. Go to them. He shows me the exit and with a great Shout commands me to GO.

Day 39 I have just escaped through the sewer system of Clan AXQU, escorted by an apparently resident bogsneak who seemed to know I was coming. I am covered in burns and unspeakable filth from head to toe, and I am alive, and it seems my mind is my own. I have fallen into a nomadic camp of dragons who have graciously treated my injuries. They have confirmed some damage to the parts of my mind that govern magic, but my mind seems to be completely my own. It has been over a month since I entered that cursed clan. I will never forget it as long as I live. Something that H-- that monster said stuck with me, though, as it confirmed what I learned in the Archives. They fled North. And, if unspeakable eldritch horrors are to be believed, my father may still be alive.

I can't not go. I can't not try to find them.

A mishmash of winds, Reedcleft Ascent, Arrived 6/13
Day 1: What... abysmal condition. I've heard of nomadic wanderers, of mirror packs. I have seen starvation in clans. But this unusual pack does not.... settle. They are followed by a serthis, who does not stop staring at one when they are talking. I can't help but smell thick coatings of magic around it.
Day 4: Although this is not a very well... constructed clan of wanderers, they appear to be in a better mood then normal. 4 years, they claim is when their clan leader decided to start a clan. At least that's what the serthis says. The others seem to shy away from me. A size difference? Or the charged magic?
I chose to do a bit of practicing of my charged magic before deciding to move on. No one here will miss me. But I can feel that serthis watching me as I fly away. Something... something.

The Sundrop Emprise, just a small clan; a small sunspot || Arrived July 2nd, 2017
He wasn't entirely sure what brought him to this small place, burrowed high in the rocks like a lion's den. It was peaceful, he had to admit, such a small, quint little settlement. There were many other imperials that made up the lair, so he didn't feel all too foreign. They're calm, chill, and accepting, perhaps he can settle here for awhile, for a rest, perhaps...

velociraptor, The Repentant's Reprieve; Arrived ???

I travelled back to the Starfall Isles just to see if I could find them again-- and I did. It seemed they travelled to the focal point without me. It was a temple-- I saw the Great Sage again and she greeted me happily enough, so did the Great Commander. There was a new man adorned in gold with high standing. It was just... a temple though, I remember there being such a large city.

I stayed in the higher reaches of the temple, was welcomed back like old family, but something felt wrong... I saw the new Ambassadors; one from each element.. except one. Lightning. I tried asking the Great Sage, but she avoided the question. The Great Commander sighed and said he chooses to make his living space in the sprawling underground.

There was a locked door.

6/9/19

I've been here for so long, welcomed in by the clan that once raised me. Many dragons had come and gone-- many went off to see the Arcanist, but still, many remained here, as well. Many I had come to know. I almost came to stay... again.

I... missed them dearly, but I did not see him. The one known as Avalon. I see the Arcane Ambassador travel to and from the locked door, nearly every day. He was growing. His remnant of the shade was fading-- but... what was in that room.

Today I finally worked up the courage to ask him, and he was more than delighted to show me. A gentle guttural sound emitted from his throat as he traced a sigil against the door-- the one I'd see him trace time and time again.

Down mechanical staircases-- whirring and whirring of cogs. Electricity surged.

Today I met a dragon more metal than flesh.

He spoke to me-- and it was familiar. His... his feeling was familiar. His scent was familiar.

Avalon!

We caught up more than I had intended to. I missed him. We were neighbors. Fawkes was also delighted to see me still alive-- as well.

Avalon told me in his mechanical voice that, occasionally, his father had come to see him, see his progress. It was brilliant-- amazing. So much work put into the temple. So much The Great Sage was hiding....

Avalon knew where my birth clan was, too--! He said to wait for his father's next visit-- and he would escort me home...

I hope.... I hope my father is still alive....
