Ziggy was relaxing after performing yet another failed spell. He sighed to himself and frowned, wondering why the majority of his magic spells seemed to go disastrously wrong or just plain not work. Heck, he still had a small scar on his tail from when a spell had backfired a couple days ago. Ziggy felt utterly defeated. Maybe magic just wasn’t his thing after all.
That’s when he felt it though. A tiny burning sensation starting seemingly as a headache and then moving to the base of his skull. He winced as the pain grew slightly more intense, wondering just what in the Plaguebringer’s name was going on.

The prickling pain grew more and more throughout the day, until he noticed something. There, at the exact spot that the pain was, two tiny bumps had begun to manifest.

The following days were rather painful for the little fae, but it had all payed off as far as he was conserned. In about a week’s time, he had two beautiful black horns that curled backwards and gleamed in the sunlight. Ziggy would later discover that he hadn’t messed up his spell, he had just gotten the names mixed up. Not that he minded though, of course, but the other clan members still took it as an opportunity to advise him to be more careful next time (after showering him with compliments on his new horns, of course).

One day, a little grey and black dragonet wandered into the clan. No one knew exactly where he came from, but no parents were in sight- just what everyone assumed were there remains. His name they learned was Ziggy, and he grew up in the clan, soon finding that he had a strange love for gathering. He may not have been the smartest of the bunch, but he still made by with his pleasure for finding lost things, much like he himself had been.

Of course, a dragon who's parents had died when they were so young is destined to have a few sad bursts. Sometimes an occasional memory of them will flutter in his mind as he grasps it in a bittersweet way. However, he still remained busy, and even tried his talons at magic. It was sometimes a bit pitiful as he tried his best to remember all the steps one must do, scurrying around to find everything needed or even just a better environment to practice. By now, the clan is happy for Ziggy's ways, for plenty of things are found, even if a few things are broken in his magic attempts.
