OUGHTON SACRIDITE SOUL |
ABOUT ME
her story
selfless | kind | creative
Oughton's naturally giving spirit, learned from her father, earned her a beloved place in her first clan. She had a penchant for granting the wishes of her clanmates in little ways: a bit of extra food here, a shiny crystal there, every now and then a bit of extra treasure — anything she had was theirs, and if she didn't have it, she'd go out of her way to make it possible for them to find it. She even began wearing a little Sacridite crystal spike on a necklace — mostly as a joke, of course, she assured her clanmates, but she liked to think of it as a luck charm for her wishing. Her thoughtful gift-giving made her fast friends with nearly every dragon she met... except one. Jealousy can grow in even the brightest of places, and before long, a newer addition to the clan started to envy her following and hate the generous, kind spirit with which she met each one of his grimaces. She did her best to make him happy, but finally, he spat that his only wish was "to see you crushed under the weight of that big heart!" At this, the Sacridite crystal pendant she'd worn for so long suddenly flashed, and before she could even react, Oughton found herself completely encased in a shimmering golden prison. Unable to move, speak, or blink, she was trapped in a state of semi-hibernation, kept alive by some unknown, magical means. All she could do was hope that her clanmates would treat the one who had trapped her with the same kindness she had shown him. As she watched them exile him from the clan, no dragon noticed the single tear roll down her crystalline cheek. Her clanmates moved her frozen body inside and draped it in white to symbolize her pure heart. Before long, she was recognized by her clan less as a living dragon and more as an altar to lay offerings at in the hopes that she could somehow grant their wishes from beyond the mortal plane — except that she'd never left the mortal plane, and she couldn't tell them as much. (to be continued with the arrival of Kiht and the attempt to remove her soul from the crystal prison) __________________
