She was raised by Thero and Ashford from the gifted egg yet saw them as little more than someone to bring her food. Her true parent was the Plague Mother herself. Totally not the Wind Singer. It's not at all possible that they just found the egg lying somewhere and took it home. Not at all.

Devout and stubborn, Helenite leads the clan in all things relating to the Plague Mother, from exaltation and death rites, to births and bonding celebrations. She has the ability to overturn the clan leaders' decisions if she doubts they are in the best interests of the clan's future in relation to the Plague Mother, something she takes seriously yet rarely takes advantage of.
