"As lesser species, they are fortunate to serve a higher cause."

Nyra's egg was lost from her clutch. Her egg had fallen into a small river which road it out to sea, currents buffeted her egg which eventually pushed her into the Light territory. Roaming bands of beast-clans had snatched her young form and ferreted it around the Sunbeam ruins, however during an attack she was lost from a satchel and rolled into the Hewn City.

Where there she was infused by a wisp of the Shade from the first ages. It had been hiding there in hopes to eventually re-merge with its former self. However instead it merged with her still fledgling form. Once she was imbued with the Shade she was once more found as a mere hatchling wandering the ruins; eventually being brought to market and seeing if any clan would take the young skydancer in. One clan agreed; and thus her story begins.

Over the months of growing alongside the clan she had found an eventual mate; she went to train when she could, hunt, gather and learn the routines; yet over time she had strange nightmares, growing into hearing voices, and seeing shadows at the corners of her eyes. After experimenting with her eggs due to the Shade's influence she had a few successful spawns, one of which created a legacy and a war.

The next few months the influences and whisperings of the Shade maddened her to the point where she no longer saw a mate, but an enemy. She attacked Erisdar gouging out his sight and ranking him along his arms and flanks. What she saw was a monster before her and it frightened her. Now she wanders the fringes of her clan with a new 'friend'. One who is a shade-friend.
