- Amaris = means ‘child of the moon’ in Old Irish and ‘given by God’ in Hebrew.

WIP lore:
She grew up with Flare, a dragon well known for breaking hearts. The two are inseparable, but because of Kyra's habit, She always ended up comforting the brokenhearted dragons left in Kyra's wake. Amaris tries to see the best in every dragon and is working to build up her confidence, with flare's help of course.
both Flare and Amaris were clutch-mates and grew up in the light flight. Amaris's egg had been found near the clan and hatched a few days after flare's.
One day their clan was decimated by the emperor and the two barely escaped with their lives. In their desperate escape they found themselves in lightning flight where they joined the clan of the broken wings.
