Hime

-Hime was cursed by the plaguemother since birth. Nobody really knows why (maybe the deity was having a bad day, or feeling especially vengeful towards the Lightweaver...) But regardless, because of the curse, Hime was in a constant state of decaying and regrowing.
-The Lightweaver, unwilling to leave one of her children to this misery, tried to heal her and break the curse. It worked...partially.
-The process was halted altogether, but not healed, which meant that she still had parts of her that would always be decayed. Thankfully though, she feels no pain.
-While others might be terrified or give in to despair in Hime's case, she oddly has not. Despite the bones protruding from her wings, and the skull of a face that she must live with, she is abounding in hope.
-This trial, this pain, this curse, has made her stronger. She considers herself a fine piece of gold that has withstood the consuming fire.
-She is a measured, calm soul, not one to lose her head, and because she is acquainted and marked by suffering, she is most apt to offer comfort to those who are going through it.
She holds no bitterness either (although she used to), and is now calmly accepting of her fate. She works as a sorceress of sorts now, as she wishes to spare and help those who might be cursed as she was.
