Alexandrite was the previous left wing of Gakey’s Clan.

Alex, for short, he used to be in Susan’s position, helping the clan’s peace and happiness together. Although he is a rather silent, un-forgiving Imperial, he has a soft heart for everyone, fiercely protecting his clan from any signs of danger. This of course brought his attitude of being over-protective and stubborn.

He was originally from Kibyru’s clan and was mated to a Pearlcatcher but brought a strong dislike to them due to his past. His emotions overcome him, leaving the clan and stumbled upon the newly begun clan of Gakey’s.

At first, he stayed with Eye and Gakey out of pity but after some time, he decided to stay, happy for the company and lost many of his negative emotions after his runaway.
He trained as a warrior, gaining the last name “Lane”, meaning warrior, hence his position of being a left wing of the Clan.

After growing rather old with his position, he encountered Susan who was only an infant at the time, saved by a storm by Gakey. Being a father of no children, he immediately took in the infant, raising her with love he thought he could never achieve. As a single parent; like Vision and Jewelimite, his natural instinct to protect his only foster daughter grew but has diminished when familiar faces are shown.

Alexandrite’s Childhood:

Alexandrite had a rather disturbing childhood. He was attacked by dragons after his birth and was sold to the auction. His only memory from the attack was a group of pearlcatchers helping the attack.

His childhood in Kibyru’s clan is rather vague but he remembers only interacting with Kaitlin, Kibyru and his previous mate before leaving to Gakey’s clan. It was known that he left after a few daws with his mating with the pearlcatcher.
