Iburel

Upon first impressions, one would not be blamed for mistaking Joker and Iburel for brothers. Having spent months travelling together with a caravan before reaching their current clan, they have greatly influenced each others personalities, and indeed consider the other their adoptive kin.

Iburel is the keeper for the clan's familiars. Best equated to a teenager in age, his abundant energy allows him to keep up with the more mischievous familiars, corralling them back to safety before things get out of hand. He greatly admires even the simplest of the creatures in his care, and believes that observing their bonds with dragons may one day help end conflict with the Beastclans.

Beneath his outgoing exterior lie the guilt and conflict of a dragon with loyalties divided. He has lived since his youth in the realm of the Stormcatcher, yet has always found himself straying a bit too far into the forests while gathering, spending a bit too much time with the familiars he cares for. A period of soul-searching and denial eventually led him to realize he wishes to become one of the Nature flight, but he finds himself unable to risk the support of his clan for his dream.

Jewel is the only dragon other than Joker who knows his secret, and designs his outfits to allow him to secretly express his desire. She has encouraged him to embrace who he wants to be, though ironically, her kind support makes him more unwilling to leave her behind. The news of his old caravan heading toward the Carrion Canyon has lead him to seriously reconsider his values, and his time left with the clan is uncertain.
