Biography
The jeweler's loving wife, Freya.
Often seen draped in jewels and gems, Freya is mistaken as being pretentious at a glance. She loves her husband Amias more than anything in the world and, though she is rather modest, she can't help but show off his work because of it.
Originally from the Cloudsong, Freya has the true spirit of a Wind dragon: freedom-loving, adventurous, and very friendly. And in that spirit, she set off at a young age to explore the world.
Her journey led her across the Flights - the edge of the Windswept Plateau, the vast blue Sea of a Thousand Currents, and even the burning heart of the Ashfall Waste. She made many friends and learned much about life from her travels, but those same friendships she loved began to wear her out as they fell away. She sought lasting, committed relationships, and although she loved adventuring, she also wanted somewhere she could stay for a while.
Freya’s final solo trip took her eastward, through the Ashfall Waste and then into the Shifting Expanse. Along the way, she met many more dragons, but chose not to get too close to any of them, knowing she’d only be with them for a few days. But something changed when she met Amias, a young dragon from the Icefield who was on a similar journey. Something about him felt different. Though she ignored it at first, deep down, her intuition knew he wasn’t just a dragon she’d spend a couple days with and move on from.
This manifested pretty quickly. When Freya was about to leave the small settlement where she and Amias had met and been staying, the latter dragon tagged along with her. As they skirted the edge of the Expanse and the Sea, heading north into the Sunbeam Ruins, they became very close. It wasn’t long before Freya fell in love with Amias.
They married in the Ruins, Freya proudly taking a simple but gorgeous citrine ring, and found a peaceful spot in the Hewn City to stay. Although their neighbors and cohabitors see her as pretentious for all the jewelry she wears, it’s part of her way of showing pride in her husband and his work. Those close to her know she’s actually quite modest, and very loving.
