Mbawa is unusual for a male Lycaon, born with the wanderlust more typical of females. Even as a pup he was restless and curious, straying much farther from the den than his siblings. He loved his clanmates, but his loner tendencies made some of them suspicious. Eventually, when Mbawa was an adolescent, things came to a head. He was out exploring a nearby cave system when the clan was attacked by a rival mirror pack. Although the clan was able to drive them off without any serious casualties, Mbawa's absence was neither forgotten nor forgiven. Eventually dispersed, tired of the disapproval of his clanmates. Time will tell if he finds a new, more accepting family, or is forever shunned as a lone Lycaon.
