Veha is an Agnidoom Ranger. She came to Clan Agnidoom as a hatchling with her brother, kidnapped by pirates and carried away through the Tangled Woods. Her brother died at the hands of one of their kidnappers, but a patrol of Agnidoom Rangers came around just in time to save Veha. Veha was traumatized by her torture, and maybe it was because of this that the Agnidoom Rangers took great care in how they treated her despite her being an outsider. They took her and her brother's body with them to the city and performed the clan's traditional funerary rites for him. Veha, distraught by losing the only connection to her mostly-forgotten old life, begged for something of him to have as her own.

Captain Illyn of the Agnidoom Rangers promised Veha that she would have a token of her brother's memory, and bade her wait. A while later she approached Veha and offered her the skull of her brother, to serve as both a reminder of him and as memento mori. Veha always wears her brother's skull on her own head, and came to idolize the Agnidoom Rangers and Captain Illyn.

Ranger Tashir is the healer who looked after Veha the most, and he is now one of the few dragons whom she trusts and loves.

While too young to join them after recovering physically from her ordeal, Veha came to often be underfoot of the Agnidoom Rangers, and they had grown fond of her. They gave her pointers and snuck her treats, while ensuring that her foster family was treating her right and that she was making an effort in her studies despite her general dislike of school.

Once she was old enough, Veha opted not to pursue higher education in favor of becoming an Agnidoom Ranger, enduring all the tests until she could call the dragons she had always admired her colleagues.

Veha is a fairly ascetic individual, preferring to focus on her duties and lead a quiet life outside of work rather than indulge in any form of luxuries. Despite this, she is mates with Vissa, a directionless academic sort who enjoys fripperies, having met him at the university while responding to an incident where a demon had snuck into the library and was attacking students.

Veha absolutely avoids anything to do with the world beyond Clan Agnidoom, perhaps because of the trauma she experienced in her early life. Not many dragons know this fact about her, but it's one of the few things that can make her temper explode.

As the mate of the de facto head of the Alel family, Veha does a lot of work in regard to ensuring the smooth operation of family matters.
