"Potions, spells, it's all here! For a price, naturally."

A product of equal parts necessity and the whims of her parents, Emlyn is for lack of a better phrase, made by design. Her siblings were sent right to the adoption circle while she, having the desired traits of her clan, was made apprentice to her mother the second her claws were able to hold a beaker without shattering it. Now a full-fledged adult, and perfectly over the legal age limit, Emlyn has been paired with the soft-spoken Peros who lets her do as she wills. How long their business transaction of a bond will last is anyone's guess but Emlyn isn't about to let her elders rule over her forever.

Dressed in red like the rest of her family, Emlyn specialized in nearly every branch of magic shown to her, excelling without competition save her mother's strict tutoring. Having lost at love herself long ago, Venus has apparently vowed not to have a weakling for a child meant to be her heir one day though it's never mentioned why the rest of the clutch weren't quite good enough for such stern attention.

So Emlyn endures as the females of her blood have probably done for centuries, only bucking under the bridle of Venus' steel claw just to show she won't be someone else's puppet. So far, Venus isn't worried and yet Emlyn possibly still plots even when her mother shrugs off her bold actions. Selling the products of her work and other experiments to travelers to supplant their clan's hoard, Emlyn doesn't simply give her potions and scrolls away to just anybody. Like a few others in the clan, she's not that foolish nor does she give anything to first-timers that's more powerful than scale polish.

For that reason, going to the other masters of magic could be a wiser option. You'll get that durability or even health potion for a decent price but a seriously nasty hex or even a terrible curse?
