Phaistos himself was once on the brink of death, surrounded by his siblings, near emperor transformation. His desperate mother took the quintuplets and fled to Shadow territory, seeking the help of a skilled Shadow shaman, versed in rune tattooing. The runes etched on his body prevented him and his siblings from ever becoming a bloodthirsty Emperor, at a steep cost. Knowing this, he sought out the help of another runed shadow dragon, Agi, the apprentice of the very dragon that saved him. With her shadow majicks, they painstakingly etched a containment spell that would curb the most violent and destructive tendencies from the three.
