She doesn't speak. Instead, she projects. Sometimes images, but mostly emotions. A word here and there. Her pearl flashes with each projection, a beacon in the night.

She divides what she gathers into threes.

The herbs are dried and hung on strings that swoop from pine to pine. They rustle in the soft winds, perfuming the Wood with rosemary and sage.

Then there is the fresh foliage to be dispersed amongst the clan, sustenance for those who need it. They thank her, but still she doesn't speak. Just projects her pleasure, her sincerity, her desire to be useful.

The last is an offering to the Shadowbinder, wrapped in maple leaves and placed in the hollow of the oldest tree in the Wood.
