Leviathan and Marianna
-The Patriarch and The Dancer-

Though their relationship is still young and blossoming, Leviathan and his partner Marianna have a feeling they will stay together forever. As the leader of the clan, the wildclaw Leviathan rules with strength and fairness. He has a very authentic, open personality that makes him easy to approach with any question or problem the other dragons may have. He is especially gentle with his new mate Marianna, and encourages her attempts to bring art and culture to the clan. Her special passion is dancing, and the young coatl loves to perform in front of her partner and the rest of the clan. Often adorned in silks, Marianna pays particular attention to the way the silks move like water, mimicking the rolling waves of the ocean or the gentle trickle of a stream. Her presentations are truly something exquisite to behold.

The couple met not long ago when Marianna first asked permission to join Leviathan’s lair. The coatl had traveled far from her family clan in order to pursue her dancing passion. With Leviathan's lair close to a gorgeous lagoon, it seemed like the perfect place to call her new home. Always open to new members, the wildclaw accepted her request. A fellow art appreciator himself, he was delighted to have the young female teach and perform for his clan. The wildclaw would check in on her classes from time to time, pleased by how enthusiastic his clan members were during practice. Marianna also seemed like such a caring, encouraging instructor. Leviathan had to admit, if only to himself, that he was growing fond of the female. When the day of their first performance finally arrived, Leviathan sat front and center to the dance. Once Marianna and the other dragons began, the wildclaw found himself entranced with the performance. There was something mesmerizing about the way the coatl moved that was chaotic and wild yet perfectly structured. The other dancers paled in comparison to their instructor. Marianna, too, began to feel something warm inside seeing Leviathan enchanted with her. Every time afterwards that the coatl performed, Leviathan found himself in attendance. And every time Marianna found herself hoping he would be. It was after such a performance that the wildclaw shyly approached the female, confessing his fondness of her and asking her to be his mate. Marianna also confessed her growing affection for the wildclaw, happily accepting his request.

The couple’s first nest has already grown, and their children have set off to find lairs of their own. Both parents were excited for their first nest together, and as Marianna’s first nest ever, she was very glad to have the more experienced Leviathan’s help in parenting. The couple expects to have many more nests together in the future, ready for whatever time has in store for them.
