Lux was never destined to succeed. He was orphaned at a young age and sold for cheap. That experience would scar him for life. The auction house, a hectic market when you could buy almost anything, including dragons. As a young hatchling, the noises and activity was too overwhelming. He sought out comfort in his clan members, but they didn't want to get too attached. A young pearlcatcher approached him and handed over a small bag of treasure. His clan members pushed him away and to the new dragon. She scooped him up and walked away. He watched his old life fade away, as his new life approached with uncertainty.

When they got farther away, the pearlcatcher introduced herself.
"Hello! My name is Ayrimic. No need to be worried young one. I'm going to find you a good home."
With nothing else to turn to, he had to trust her.

Lux grew up in a lair surrounded by plants. He turned to plant studies as a familiar hobby when he was growing up. Although he lived in this lair for now, he knew he wasn't going to stay here. He wanted to go out and explore the rest of Sorneith and study more plants.
