Biography
Warning!
This dragon is very radioactive! Be careful around him! Radium was discovered in 1898 by Marie and Pierre Curie. It has the atomic symbol of Ra and the atomic number of 88 on the periodic table of elements. It is used in nuclear medicine such as therapy for Thyroid cancer and blood disorders. It was also used in luminescent paint until the 1960s due to health problems caused by the radioactivity. The "Radium Girls" were women who had radium poisoning due to the unsafe working conditions of working with radium. They painted watch faces with a radium-based paint and were told that the radium proposed no health risk. Soon, their skin began to glow and grow brittle, with some getting cancer. By 1927, over 50 of the women had died of radium poisoning. So, stay safe and don't play around this guy unless you have proper safety equipment! -Management ![]() |
