oRKno74.png Merlin has unparalleled magical abilities, some of which the Arcanist hasn't seen for many centuries. His capacity for learning and his thirst for knowledge make him highly intelligent and many of those around him see him as a genius. That is, however, when he can manage to make himself focus. While he may have incredible intellect, he easily suffers from loss of attention and interest in things if they over or under stimulate him.

The arcanic markings on his eyes glow brighter or dimmer depending on his mood and current state of mind. During moments of strong emotion like anxiety or sadness, the markings disappear completely.

Among the Tundra Pack, Merlin is usually found talking the other dragons ears off and info-dumping about random facts he has learned. When he's not asking Hecate if he can borrow yet another book from her Library, Merlin particularly likes hanging around Freyr. The two of them became friends quickly, and even though he doesn't know how to admit it, he has a massive crush on her.
