Thanks to his mother being a Snapper, Winter is a very bulky and physically strong individual, and as such, he was one of the first dragons recruited by Pansy to act as an envoy of harmony. His belief is that above all else, every dragon needs to be treated as an individual and given respect.

While his strength is well-known, he has yet been required to use it, and he prays he never has to.
