Rain pounds down onto the cobblestone beneath her feet. Screams still echo in her ears, a tragedy by no fault of her own. Red blood dripped off her shackles only to be washed away by the never-ending torrent of the storm. Stealing a glance behind her she saw flames still licking at the wreckage that was once her home. “Pa always said that rage was the deadliest weapon, but at the cost of ones true sight, for it is rage that blinds you to the sensible.” It was the rage of one dragon that caused her family's suffering. In the end the fire had consumed their attackers along with the rest of her past. Agony that had gone on for weeks was ended in under five minutes. “Never again shall a true smile pass across my face, for all that warranted happiness was burnt to ashes”

Extra: Dark shadows danced through the tree trunks as she travelled through The Tangled Wood. A faint rustling up ahead made her pause, wary of the creatures in these woods. A jumble of mist emerged from behind a nearby bush. As she looked on, the mist slowly began to form fur, then hooves, antlers. Bright glowing cyan eyes pierced the darkness and she realized she was looking at a Wispwillow Peryton. “It is said that only creatures with eyes of shadow can see you. Is this not true little one?” The peryton looked back at her curiously but said nothing. “Perhaps then it is creatures who have had their eyes clouded by shadows unfit for this world. Shadows that can come in any shape or form and obliterate all you know as quickly as snuffing a candle!” Her eyes had become wide with hatred and fear as she remembered her past. A cold nose touched to her hand shocked her out of her stupor. Soft, glowing eyes looked gently back into her own crazed eyes. Her body relaxed and she looked at the little deer. “Would you like to come with me little one? I could use a companion like you.” She began to walk again and the peryton slowly trotted after her.
