"Duty, even in the face of death"
They say she was born with a sword in her hand, and that one day, she will die with it there, too.
It's strange to see such a young dragon with such dutiful drive. No one knows where Moria came from, or where she intends to go. All they know is that she has sworn herself to the service of Nyx Coven, ready to lay down her blade and her life on the witches' behalf.
Hiareth has tried to dissuade her from such a dangerous path. She has so much life ahead of her, so much of the world yet to see. And even if she is no longer a Guardian, there is a chance that the instinct of the Search will still kick in, drawing her across Sornieth until she finds the thing that makes her heart sing.
Moria refuses to budge. If she ever had a Search, it led her to the coven, and if she has ever had a charge, it is the witches she fights to protect. Nothing the coven's lead sentinel can say will persuade her to abandon her self-appointed post. The time to change her mind is long past.
But if Moria is being honest with herself, more honest than she ever is to anyone, she does wish she could see the world. There's much in Sornieth to be marveled at, not to mention a great many things to fight, to hone her skills with. The trouble is that she was led here by forces unknown. A seed was planted in her heart, and she is certain that leaving the coven would kill her. She is bound to the witches in her very soul, and she cannot even be certain that the desire to keep them safe from harm is her own or some one else's.
Nevertheless, she upholds her oaths, wielding her blade with absolute precision, facing every threat with all the pride she has. She will either die old and serene or on the battlefield; there is no other option for her. Until the end of her days, she and her sword will carve through the coven's enemies, channeling all the strength of the wind, and there will be no mercy, no rest.
Moria's duty must come first. She cannot remember a time when she has known anything else.
