Cyclone

Cyclone was banished from his line soon after reaching adulthood for challenging his family's beliefs and traditions. This was simply the cherry on the top of a long list of offenses. He'd also been caught mingling with commoners as if they were friends, letting himself be flirted with, and making his own food.

Without a surname, a home, or a family, Cyclone set off on his own. He wandered the territories for a long while, before deciding to become a scholar in the Shifting Expanse. He found the engineering fascinating and studied it in earnest, hoping the power generated from these mystical machines could help those in need somehow. He traveled from village to village, library to library, until eventually he stumbled upon two dragons running a little support joint in the cliffs. They had an expansive stock of knowledge deep within their caves, and offered him food and shelter without hesitation.

Before long, he found himself reluctant to start traveling again. Nervously, he asked the owners, Aulula and Shadow, if he could stay there indefinitely. They agreed wholeheartedly, and he's been there ever since. After their little group expanded and became a clan, he gave himself his own surname, Rune.

Cyclone ponders a question for days before answering, challenges tradition and normality, and is fascinating to talk to. He loves philosophy and science, and stores a great wealth of knowledge within his mind. Ask him a simple thing such as "What's your favorite color?" and he'll nod slowly, deep in thought. A few hours later, you might get a simple, straightforward answer, but it's far more likely you'll get a long speech that goes far deeper into the question than intended. He has a bad habit of expecting everyone to have the same interest in philosophy as he does, and will ramble for hours.

He also loves science, and comes up with plenty of ingenious ideas. He's always eager to explain his complex inventions and tangled equations.

Cyclone just wants to help people. He would gladly give his good fortune to someone needing it more, and has many times in the past. If the clan ever stumbles upon a lost egg or injured hatchling, he is the first to fiercely advocate for it. The clan usually ends up taking them on. Many think his startling reactions to abandoned dragons stems from his own early adult life.
