TRAVEL NOTES

I've decided that I need to leave this place. For someday, I may return, but as of now... It doesn't seem like I need to be on this plane. Dragons are leaving rapidly, gone to fight greater battles, retiring, seeking shelter elsewhere. And maybe they're right. Maybe I'm out of sorts joining them, but it's the only action that seems right. Home, 2/25/24.
Due to this clan being recent, there isn't any kind of structure I can fall to. Drakes of the area don't know how to work with one another, as a result of having different roots and little common ground. This doesn't always result in group in-fighting, thankfully, but it's common to see a gathering of dragons who don't know what to do with one another. It's a good thing there are leaders (or at least, those who take responsibility) at all, or the little sense of order this clan had would've fallen apart before the next holiday. At least the drakes here are kind. A few days after entering this clan, I was bestowed a pair of goggles. The goggles were sleek and shaded, which helped against the dust of this area that flew anywhere the wind took it. The clan's members must have noticed my discomfort towards the dusty air, and I am thankful for that. If I end up in a place like the Charged Barrens (Though I'm doubtful this journey will go so far), it'll be good to have the adequate equipment. I'd be interested to watch the growth of this clan and it's members, but I feel like it'd be best to do so from a distance. Recently, this place was attacked by monsters, which wouldn't have happened if the Coliseum fighters were more cautious for pursuers when they scampered back home to lick their wounds. Luckily, we had the advantage of numbers, but the incident left me in quite a state. Being older than most residents here, I feel like I wouldn't be able to adapt to the rapid changes this clan gets, lest I perish or get in the way. When it gets quieter, I'll have to go back on the travelling path and find a place that may better suit me... preferably, a clan that has been around for sometime. SeahDaLune's clan, 3/15/24 |
