Tiefra

With wind whipping at her back, and the sun setting brightly ahead, the small Fae set her sights on the highest peak of the plateau. She needed to get out of this wasteland; the smoldering remains of the reeds that had covered her clans home were too much for her quaking heart. Her mother was gone, lost to the burning rain of magma that had recently exploded from the Ashfall Wastes. Nothing was left for her there. She was fully grown, now, and without her family there to guide her, she hadn’t a clue on what to do. She needed a name (a mark of her newfound independence), and she needed to scale the Reedcleft Ascent. Her whole life was ahead of her, she knew, and it started with reaching the top of that peak. She would announce herself to the world as the new and wiser dragon she would become.
