From a young age, Red was able to see, hear, and talk to the dead. Most of the time they would just whisper their regrets, but occasionally she overheard things she shouldn't have. She decided to turn this morbid ability into a job for herself, and became a spirit medium.

That said, it's a pretty dark line of work, being in the company of the murdered, the fallen, and the regretful dead. Red channels her stress into her hobby of home-brewing fine wines, one she shares with her buddy Fruitwine. Alcohol quickly became a favored tool for her, either as offerings and gifts to the dead or as a medium for scrying. She offer readings to others, for a price.
