"Singing comes from the heart."
Skylar is rather skittish. She depends on others most of the time, as she fears being alone. She is often found amongst the gardens cultivated by Purslane, she works what she deems the prettiest flowers, weaving them into crowns and necklaces. If not there, then she will most likely by found with Serana as the two soar into the sky together. Her frightened nature can be overcome with the reassurance and praise of others. Due to her sweet nature, most dragons are perfectly willing to help her out. When others snap at her unknowingly, she hides for days. Others will berate the offending party but no one has ever been able to convince her out of isolation after such an incident. She does hold a hidden talent, one that is only revealed when she is truly relaxed. Her singing voice is beautiful, divine even. At the times when the clan has had a good hunt, or a trading route has been established, when everyone has gathered in the main chamber in good spirits; she will sit and sing. Her voice is high but soft, and often wordless, simply singing a delightful melody. Her voice has the power to silence everyone and leave them in a state of peace- their skittering thoughts quelled, if only for a while. The constant boom of thunder at the clan's new home at first sent Skylar into a state of constant anxiety, but as time passed, she grew accustomed to the noise; even finding comfort in it. There are no sharp and fierce silences- the constant rumble of thunder in the distance works as white noise, keeping her mind from straying into anxiety. Her trips with Serana are limited now as she, rather reasonably, fears being struck by lightning. Instead she has branched out more with her singing, taking it as a hobby rather than a rare event- she finds confidence in the praise she receives and it encourages her to come further out of her shell.
