Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Personality: Perpetually cranky, becomes easily furious, quick to get up in your face, though she never strikes first, incredibly bitter, highly insecure, craves kind attention but always expects the worst, likes card games even though she's terrible at them, a very sore loser, wears a mask of hostility to shield her fragile heart, loud and standoffish, talks quickly, has a grudge against male skydancers for unknown reasons, uses her pearl as a comfort object and has a nervous tick of tapping on it when agitated

Voice Description: loud, severe, taut, bold

History: Dreadmurk was raised in the Sunbeam Ruins by an emotionally abusive mother and a physically abusive father. Her older siblings were either cruel or had dulled their minds by misusing healing herbs, they never particularly cared about her. Early on they decided to run off to The Hewn City and leave Dreadmurk behind. In her hatchling days she was meek, shy, and obedient. She always tried her hardest to either pacify her father or stay out of range of his anger. As for her mother, well there was no winning there. No matter how she behaved, her mother always made her feel inadequate, as if she could never be worth anything and it was only her own fault. Like she deserved her fathers wrath. But one day her father went too far, so she fled the Sunbeam Ruins, planning to hide somewhere her parents would never find her. During her journey, some dragons named Poquito and Ender ran into her. Fortunately for her, they weren't particularly bothered by her coarse attitude and offered temporary rest with their clan. One night became one week, and that became one month. She had been "resting" with the Dubhghlas clan for 5 months and had been considered an unofficial member when a horrible famine hit the clan hard. Moods became strained and Dreadmurks bad attitude skyrocketed. In a vicious skirmish over the last of the food, a ridgeback named Virus attempted to kill her. Dreadmurk retaliated by slashing her throat open, killing her. The clan leaders furiously turned on her and banished her. Though she felt guilty about Virus' death, she grudgingly left, fleeing towards Dragonhome.

For many lonely months she wandered, hungry and tired, being refused from all the lairs she visited. Without much food, and very little water, her health quickly deteriorated. She was on the edge of Dragonhome, following her hazy eyes's visions of water, when her shaking legs collapsed. Through her darkening vision she saw figures approaching, then passed out. She awakened to a stunning emerald canopy above her, soft bedding below her, and the sounds of nature all around. A warm glow emanated from her chest, she looked down and could barely believe her eyes. The damaged pearl that had been weathered through life alongside her was a soft, smooth, amber orb. Her head snapped up as she heard someone enter the tiny clearing, staring in shock. The nebulous fae who entered curiously peered at her miraculously transformed pearl, before looking back up at her, smiling, then said
"Welcome Home"

Dreadmurk spent weeks in a happy, muddled daze. Her new clan treated her like family, and even her two favorite clanmates, Poquito and Ender, showed up! The days blended together into a confusing but joyfully exciting jumble. Every night she gazed into the sky and thanked fate for finally finding a home, the place where she belonged. Sleep came easy to her, she felt safe. But, for the first night in a while, her dreams uneased her. Swirling dark shapes haunting her from darkness, a dry wind buffeting her helpless body, claws grabbing her and dragging her away. She whimpered in her restless sleep, why was her mouth so dry?
A bright light shone in her eyes, tearing her from her nightmares. She blinked quickly and squinted, the bright light and loud voices around her hurting her pounding head. Her vision focused onto a group of strangers. Ender snapped his claws from behind her field of vision, she turned to him and asked in a small voice how she got here. He explained that Poquito and him had found her collapsed, in Dragonhome, nearly dead of thirst, and had taken her here to their new clan, healing her on their way. She stammered, upset, asking about the clan she had been with in the Viridian Labyrinth, but Poquito chimed in from Ender's side, saying she must have been having some pretty vivid hallucinations. Ender layed a paw on her shoulder as she stared down at the pearl in her arms, the cracked, chipped, white pearl, saying he was sorry,
it was only a dream.
