Biography

Ophir
Ophir was born into the Wind flight to Strongjaw and Kai, a mated pair hailing from the Nature and Plague flights. Strongjaw, who was a Guardian dragon, had fallen in love with Kai when he left for his search and chose her as his mate and charge. They had left for the Wind flight in the hopes of finding a new life separate from their old flights' feud.
Ophir was inspired by his parent's story, and even though he was still a hatchling he found within himself the stirrings for his search. His parents thought it was too soon for him to possibly be ready to go and tried to keep him from leaving. But the stubborn child did not heed his parents' words and left.
The gentle breezes of the Windsinger guided him to a lair, with signs showing abandonment long ago. Ophir settled in for a few days, tired from traveling, but soon felt like he needed to stop there. Thinking this meant that the lair was now his charge, Ophir settled in happily. But soon more and more hatchlings stumbled into the big lair, and while Ophir was tempted to chase them away from his charge, each got him to begrudgingly let them in to stay for a short time.
As the others stayed they began to grow on him, until Ophir came to a realization. He wasn't meant to stay to have charge over the lair, it was this budding clan of misfits that was his charge. Now solidified in his role as a guardian, Ophir stepped forth to unite the misfits into a clan together and came forth as their head.

Ophir is a headstrong and independent dragon, more likely to act on his own impulses than listen to the advice of others. He tries his best to be a mediator between the rest of the clan, but his own bullheadedness more often than not ends up with him forming a new argument to be resolved. But he has a genuine care for his clanmates that helps bring the group together and is willing to die for the safety of his clan.
Ophir isn't much one for nonsense and often will chastize another when things get out of hand. He spends his time sitting near the entrance to the lair, keeping watch for any travelers or enemies that may come their way. Every once in a while his clanmates may tear him away from his post, and rope him into taking part in their favored activities.
