Youngest of the 5 elemental sisters born from the recent elemental chaos, Astrape has had a bit of a hard time shapeshifting into dragon form. While just about all shape shifters retain something that could be a tell to their true nature by those in the know, she has quite a lot that could tell others about herself.

Fortunately, Izar was able to train her to shift as best she could and explained to others that Astrape was a new kind of Lightning dragon. In reality, she is a Raiju/Kamaitachi mix-just her scythes as well as metallic front legs are unable to be hidden. Same can be said for the lightning that erratically moves about her body. It still does of course, but it also comes out of her eyes in dragon form.

She's quite energetic when there's lightning energy about, which has been both blessing and curse for her. Initially, she was in the Intel Subdivision but was considered too overbearing and sent over to the Clan Protection and War Ethics Branch. There, she was found to be too energetic and would often leave her companions behind as she'd race ahead, potentially leading to tragedy. Astrape was upset that she seemed to not fit anywhere until she landed into the Mechanics Subdivision. There, her energy was put to good use in creating new machines for the Clan as well as assisting others in the Subdivision with their tasks.

And her abilities to become energy itself as well as wield it without any drawbacks were most welcome. As was her ability to accurately cut metal for projects. Astrape found she was a perfect fit and was pleased.

She's close to Alyona and Alcyone. Of them (and Aisling), she's very much a perfectionist and focuses her energy into all her tasks so that when she's not working she can relax. A bit reserved but with a willingness to learn and see what others create drives her. She's also highly interested in making artificial life as she sees it as a potential way for her to understand her own existence. Any golems she makes she treats with dignity and demands the same from others.
