Biography

Hezen came to the Caravan seeking knowledge as many dragons did. He journeyed from his old Clan and his large family and many children, to the Caravan, heating good things that they had some of the best engineers outside of the Shifting Expanse. After a lot of hard work and a lot of tests and pushing and pushing to be accepted in the corpse of engineers, Hezen was finally allowed into the great engine room of the Windsinger’s Tale. Those who worked in the engine room were all small dragons. Fae, spiral, and nocturnes, to get into small places and handle the delicate machinery. Hezen was one of the few medium sized dragons allowed to work in the engine room, mainly because he was a Lightning dragon and good with electronics.

Thrilled with his new work Hezen threw himself into his job. He loved every moment of it and learned all about the huge engines and the lift generator that kept the Windsinger’s Tale in the air. He had friends and loved to talk about machines and he really was the perfect engineer.

  Then the accident happened.

Once the dust had settled and Hezen once more had form he was able to be in touch with the engines more than anyone ever had. He also became one of the most important dragons in the entire clan, for without him the lift generator would stop running and the ship would fall right out of the sky. But that doesn’t happen so long as Hezen is around. Now he fills his time reading arcane protected books inside the lift generator and bothering the other engineers to entertain him when he’s bored.

Hezen is, quite literally, the soul of the Windsinger’s Tale. He is the ship and the ship is him. Though he only exists in the lift generator Hezen will tell you that he can control just about everything in the ship. He is one with the circuitry as much as simple arcane energies. He takes that knowledge seriously though and never abuses it.
