Biography

Theraphosa

This is where the quote goes, babes!

Pirate Matron and fearsome strategist, Theraphosa is Captain to the Sawbeak, and nominal queen of the Lazuli Enclave's pirate brigade.

The Sawbeak itself is a vastly manned group of ships, composed of the Eye and the Wing; most of the crew reside on the Wing, moving back and forth between it and the Eye freely (though Ciera rarely leaves it's deep hold). From the Eye, the Sawbeak spies targets and communicates with the rest of the fleet, utilizing her slow, but fearsome, pair to catch quarry by unawares.

The other ships in the fleet, while coming to, at most, half of the Sawbeak's firepower, serve often as extensions of its strategy, chasing smaller targets for themselves and leading the more difficult prizes to the Sawbeak's waiting Eye. One might think that a snapper, ground-bound and prone to wanderlust as she is, would find the open seas tiresome before long, but Theraphosa is steady on deck, and keeps the Sawbeak in constant motion, weaving between long-used trade routes unpredictably. She finds the sea more a home than land, or even the Sanctum ever was, and one can often find the captain plotting courses from the Eye's quarterdeck or patrolling the Wing, gaze ever vigilant for sails on the horizon. And in battle, Captain Theraphosa is as vicious as any airborne dragon, often manning the Wing's cannons with the rest of the crew, and ripping any who dare get close enough to shreds with her jaws. Countless vessels have come before the Sawbeak's bow, and nearly all of them lie beneath the sea, their cargo taken for the Sawbeak's glory (along with a small amount of crew).
