The night is dark and unseasonably cold. Branches thrash and snap against one another. He sits in the middle of the path on the edge of town swishing his tail back and forth. The nightmare bringer waits for the unsuspecting passing dragon. The sight of him alone causes heinous dream visions. Powers forbid Hellector reaches out with his shadow hands. Dragons young and old maintain human superstition and hang bundles of hyancinth and yew root to ward off his horrific visions and encounters with him.
