The island seethes with power, every wave threatening to send it careering out into the treacherous ocean. A rough-hewn shack clings to the spine of a cliff, perilously close to the edge. Surges of white and rose-pink flicker on the surface of the sea as Chronos skims the waves, bright eyes reflecting the turbulent sky.
He is at home in the storm; it sings in his blood. He wields the lightning, shapes it to his will, forging secret spells to repel and conceal. His island is almost hollow, cored to provide him the space he needs for his experiments.
Time encroaches on the sand,
where thoughts were scrawled in ages past. Power pulses in the earth and resonates the shining glass. An eternal search for lost knowledge, to find the truth in ancient tales. A secret power bound to life in glittering gold and violet scales. |
