Biography
Celestina happened upon Jubei by chance. She needed help after her clan had been slaughtered, and came upon the pirate prince. At first she paid her way into the prince's protection with treasure, but Celestina quickly learned that she was welcomed so long as she contributed. As one of the clan's gatherers, Celestina spent significant time with the prince himself. Eventually the aloof quiet prince warmed up to her and love blossomed.
Celestina didn't particularly want to leave the realm of the Arcane. The dim red haze that blanketed the Scarred Wasteland obscured the night sky. Only when Celestina would climb to the top of the spires that surrounded the Plaguebringer's home could she finally see the stars with clarity and in the distance the Arcanist's observatory. In her memory Celestina could hear the Arcanist's excited chitter as he charted the stars.
Oh, what we sacrifice for love.
On one particularly dark night, Celestina scaled one of the spires to get a glimpse of the stars above. Just near the top she lost her footing and plummeted downwards and into the soup. She screamed as the infectious murk burned at her beautiful white body, and she quickly pulled herself out. Laying on the banks of churning lake, Celestina was horrified to see that her colors were no longer the same. Afraid that her mate would no longer find her beautiful, Celestina hid her face behind a hood.
Despite how much Jubei tells her he loves her no matter what, Celestina refuses to take it off.
