Biography

*Used to be named Smuggler; was saved from becoming fodder :) *

No one is quite sure what happened to Ophelia on her adventures outside of the Mill Meadows, and into the hills and valleys beyond. She was an adventurer in her youth, and quite the fighter according to Aries. She always recounted the time that Ophelia saved her hind when they were ambushed by harpies while gathering herbs for Valspar. Usually in these rambling accounts, Aries would make a point to mention just how skilled and observant the little mirror is. So bright and fast, her reaction time so fast that she would block before the opponent would even think to raise a claw or wing, or what have you. It was a great shock to the entire clan when Ophelia came stumbling back into camp, eyes glazed and head heavy, dragging her half torn off wing behind her. It was especially frightening, because her previously brown, creamy colored skin and wings had a sudden speckling of swirls and colors unlike anything they had seen. Even in the time it took to get Valspar over to investigate her injuries, the clouded trails of bright color became more pronounced, almost as if it was growing across her muscles, underneath her skin and scales. Despite the worry and tension running throughout the lair, everyone was told to stay away from her in case whatever it was became contagious. For days on end, Valspar and Rhizaria quarantined themselves in a den with Ophelia, studying scrolls and books furiously for anything like it. It became ever so slightly clearer to them what it might be, when they examined her neck and found the beginning of a fungus's fruiting body poking out of the pores of her throat.

Hopefully the mystery of what Ophelia came into contact with will be revealed one day, when she regains her ability to articulate or speak.
