Long ago she wandered the ice fields looking for her Charge when she came upon an old village, the inhabitants nowhere to be found as the place was falling apart. Among this wreckage she found an unhatched nest, the eggs dormant as no magic had incubated them in a long time. Claire took them in, sure in her heart it was the eggs that was her charge. After they hatched and she raised them enough they could go out on thier own the feeling of fullness she had when caring for them was gone and she was struck with the deep want to look for a charge once more.

This seemed odd to her until the Night of the Nocturne came and she found abandoned egg after abandoned egg that the nocturne had left behind and that same feeling that her charge was found returned. That was when she discovered what her charge really was…

Her den is now an orphanage, where parentless dragons can grow and learn under her charge. Though the occasional rescued baby beastclan or familiar joins and grows up to work with her. When the nests become empty she goes out to find orphaned eggs to bring back and raise another of these first generation…
