______ As she grew under her intelligent brother and outgoing athletic sister, poor Haru never quite know how or where she’d fit in. Her parents doted on her since she was the youngest but this led to some resentment from Chie who wanted more attention so she often stole the spotlight. Eventually her siblings were already being selected for distinct occupations and she still didn’t know what she wanted to do so she took a simple job at a tavern. There she worked as a hostess and waitress but always admired the performers on stage, from Estella and her lovely singing voice to Inigo, the depressing comedian. She grew timid when fellow customers like Sae tried their hand at comedy and were ridiculed for their lack of humor so she denied herself the opportunity to shine whenever they hosted a talent night.

______ Interactions with the wind clan grew and she befriended the seer Odin, finding him sweet and wanting to learn more about his powers. As her interest in him and his abilities expanded, she not only fell for him but wanted to pursue a similar career path, despite her lack of innate magical prowess. She sought mages like Pent and Morrigan, who initially denied her because they didn’t believe the darks arts were “entertaining.” However with enough annoying persistence they sat her down and taught her what they knew about the slight of hand, which they only used to distract their children when they couldn’t take medicine or eat their vegetables. Now bestowed with a new look and charisma, she returned to the tavern and showed off her tricks, amazing the crowd to a standing ovation. She left the night with her new alias: Miss Direction. Occasionally she’ll invite her mate Odin for especially devious tricks but everyone enjoys her and looks to her for fun.
