-He was raised on a ship, learned everything about how he sees the world from whalers. I wonder if his taste for blood started there.
-The former admiral was a gaoler called Howlite. He has a pair of her shed antlers in his quarters. He talks to them when he is in need of guidance.
-He grows restless without the sway of the waves beneath his feet, but that is not the only reason he wishes he could be back at sea.
-Leviathans and dragons alike have fallen to his sword and his gun. All in the name of the Icewarden. In the name of keeping Sornieth safe. But can executing a young couple trying to escape the service they were drafted into really be called protection? His thoughts linger on this.
-From time to time, he stands on the bow of the ship, reveling in the smell of sea salt and the spray of water on his face. It is the only time he has ever felt free.
-There is a mad inventor, an irradiated monstrosity who stinks of Shade. He worries about his growing affection for the man.
-He hunts them. He knows he will die alongside them if he does not.
