His name means "unlucky traveller," and he earned it. Absolutely tiny for an Imperial, Svath is the oldest of Lothur and Frigg's adopted clutch, and he had to grow up pretty quickly. No one asked him to, but he was always happy to take on extra responsibilities whenever the need arose, and this became a trend well past when he came of age. All of his siblings know he is reliable and is always a willing ear to turn to and a ready shoulder to lean on. He is responsible and tends to be quiet, often completing tasks before anyone even has time to ask him. In fact, he is so reliable the others sometimes take him for granted. It's fortunate he isn't a dragon that thrives on the praise of others - simply doing good deeds is enough for him! A dragon who is responsible and does not ask for rewards or recognition, Svath has earned his reputation as a completely reliable soul and a well-respected leader around Home.

Intensely proud of his home, Svath is devoted to being a good leader for the residents in his Hall and is always able to make time for new arrivals. He is passionate about shining a good light on Home, and always puts his best foot forward when he chaperones residents out and about. The only times he gets truly angry is when he thinks a resident's poor behaviour will reflect poorly on Home. He is also one of the most accomplished young healers at Home, and under his tutelage, every one of Home's prospective healers has been accepted to the medical school of their choice. Svath, despite all his good qualities, is an awful mediator. He can't stand confrontation and is always the first to leave the room when a fight breaks out. His way of resolving a fight is to run away and hope everyone calms down soon. Despite his non-confrontational nature, though, he was quick to step up as a leader at Home even before he had fully grown up himself. Svath is often one of the first dragons new arrivals meet, and his reputation as a gifted healer and as a kind soul always proceeds him. He can sometimes feel pressured to always know the right thing to say, and he worries that he might not be the kind older brother others say he is, but his personal worries rarely affect the quality of his work. Svath knows he's dependable and trustworthy, and he tries every day to live up to his lofty reputation.

"Svath hatched in the middle of our escape from Plague. His egg had been housed on the border between Light and Lightning, along with several of his new siblings. My brother Othin died getting this kid out of there, and even though we had not planned to make the escape with any hatchlings, only eggs, we couldn't abandon Svath. It was Frigg who suggested his name, 'he who makes an unlucky journey,' as a joke. He grew up much faster than he should have, and never complained about any extra responsibilities he had to bear as the oldest. He wears it well. Svath is a gifted and dedicated healer who always downplays his abilities, but his skill is certain. We joked that night that accidentally winding up with a newborn Imperial as we ran across Flight borders was a sign we were blessed by the Lightweaver. Now I think maybe we were right."
